Service Technician

Responsibilities
The Service Technician will report to the Service Manager. This position is responsible for the repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality. Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair on heavy construction equipment in a safe and timely manner are key elements in this role. This individual works under direct supervision and works at our branch

Requirements
Success in this position requires a technical school certificate with equivalent experience in construction equipment is required.

Field Service Technician

Responsibilities
The Field Service Technician will report to the Service Manager. This position is responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality.

Requirements
For one to be successful in this position a candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, strong diagnostic skills, ability to work in the field setting with minimal supervision, and must have a can do personality with a sale aptitude. A technical school certificate with equivalent experience in construction equipment is required. A valid Wisconsin Driver's License is also required.

Shop Foreman

Responsibilities
The Shop Foreman will report to the Service Manager and will be responsible for assisting the Sussex Service Department. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Manage shop & field service technicians and repair of machines and equipment, warranty repairs, rental/lease maintenance and repairs, enforcing all company policies & procedures, maintaining excellent customer relations and attaining business objectives/goals with good management and planning.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in service operations and labor with experience in selling at a management level. A strong working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions. Solid shop floor management knowledge along with leadership skills in a specialized repair environment. Must be highly organized. Business systems software and Microsoft Office experience is required.

Warranty Administrator

Reports to the VP of Product Support and is responsible for the warranty administration process for the entire company. This individual must work semi-independently.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain updated warranty manuals and materials and uses appropriate forms.
  2. Provide direction to the Service and Parts departments on proper completion of warranty repair orders including files and storage of warranty parts.
  3. Submits warranty claims for repair orders in a timely manner.
  4. Advise Service and Parts Manager on proper procedures for obtaining warranty credits on work orders as requested. Properly documenting information to achieve the greatest amount of warranty dollars.
  5. Establish and monitor procedures for timely return of warranty parts to unsure appropriate credit, following up as necessary.
  6. Maintain file copies of all warranty claims submitted and log sheets for MBR locations showing warranty claims entered, subsequent credits and record of parts returned.
  7. Check the status of the warranty claims daily and follows up on the appeals.
  8. Ensure all company warranty modification programs are completed in a timely fashion and communicate monthly to VP of Product Support.
  9. Maintain and submit labor rate change forms when necessary and notify OEMs.
  10. Update warranty policy manuals located on the shared drive and keep current.
  11. Travel required to branches when needed (occasional).
  12. Maintain a safe working environment and always adhere to company safety rules.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A strong working knowledge of warranty administration processes
  • A good understanding and good computer applications in Microsoft Office Suite specifically in Excel and Word. CDK business systems experience a plus

Associates degree with relevant warranty administration experience. Must be able to execute written and oral directions and work independently with branch Service and Parts Managers.
